WOW, so much has happened the past week . i don't even know where to begin. well, a week ago, friday, would be me and baby's 1 year anniversary...here's how it went...
after asking the guru of romance himself, jonas, for some well-needed advice, i planned away for that special day, August 6th, 2004 . i headed to the mall to buy a 1 year anniversary card. THOSE ARE HARD TO FIND! spent darn near 30 mins looking for the right one that didn't have the words "wife" or "spouse" on it. but, i finally found what i was looking for and it had all i needed to say to her . i showed jonas the card @ ab, he liked it...
afterwards, i drove to home depot to pick up a dozen roses...only they were selling 2 dozen, but nothing less! so...i bought it and brought it back home. i was finally done shopping. got ready while my sister helped beautifully wrap and prepare my presents. THANKS TUBBA, TUBBA TUBBA! LOVE YOU *muah! *
drove over, picked up baby. she looked so beautiful. w/ her red hair, her rocking body and that oh-so-beautiful smile of hers that melts butter on pancakes. then...i took her to my 1st surprise. the place of our 1st date, balboa park . we just walked around and sat on a bench looking out @ the pond. it was real pleasant . there was this lady who was screamin @ authorities. it was funny. balboa park reminded me of so much the year before, and how i was so scared, nervous and happy all @ the same time. then, we headed over to my 2nd surprise, which she already knew about, but hey...knowing it or not, it was still romantic .
it was a 2.5 hour, scenic, san diego harbor dinner cruise . i had a little fear of getting sea-sick, cause of what happened in hawaii, but the whole time, i was good. our waitress was a bit BITCHY , but other than that, it was a romantic evening. a lil chilly outside, but we watched unexpected fireworks as the cruise was coming to an end. i'm not gonna complain about the hidden charges...
::cought::cough::extra 22 bucks for the bitchy waitress::cough::cough::and 2 bucks for a drink::cough::cough::
...but it was all worth it for my baby .
after the cruise, we headed back home for my last few surprises. roses, a card, and presents waiting on my bed for my baby . she had the liberty of opening hers 1st. here were her presents...:
1. 12 orange roses - representing 12 months we've been together - to our present state .
2. 1 thoughtful card - for our one year together .
3. a frame w/ our 1st date tickets from exactly 1 year ago, in it - our past .
4. a poem wrapped in flower petals and construction paper that i read to her .
5. a promise ring - to keep true of our promise together - for our future...
next was MEEEEE ! i got: 1. 3 shirts (1 polo from ae and 2 button up shirts from ab)
2. jeans (wrong fit, but i have the right ones now)
3. super smash bros melee for gamecube (i own @ that game!)
4. a brown fountains of wayne shirt! (awww, i've been wanting one!)
5. a beanie baby pony (i'm a stallion, damnit!)
6. a cd case filled w/ cd's i lost when my cd's got stolen (aww, i liked this most of all...yer so sweet)
7. and a sentimental card that made me tear (I LOVE YOU *MUAH* i'll be yer penguin for life!)
but it didn't stop there...
2 days later, i got fountains of wayne self titled, and utopia parkway cd's which were stolen from me a long time ago. BUT NOW FOW'S BACK ! thank you baby! you made our anniversary an unforgettable, and memorable experience. that, and i got a lot of stuff. I LOVE YOU! *muah*
yes yes, bowling wednesdays, and monday i went "camping" w/ baby...
THE END!
